Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)
We are excited to announce the completion of a three-part video series designed to provide substance abuse screening strategies and interventions to all health care practitioners working with women of childbearing age. The videos were produced as a collaborative effort with the March of Dimes (MOD) and the Coalition for Alcohol & Drug Free Pregnancies (CADFP). The ultimate goal of this video is to enhance preconception and interconception health education, as well as reduce instances of premature birth and the development of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.
The training videos were developed using an evidence based curriculum called Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
