Fentanyl

The Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) recognizes that the County of Santa Clara Medical Examiner-Coroner has certified many fentanyl overdoses, and the County is experiencing the fentanyl epidemic.  To continue collaborative, educational outreach efforts alongside our Public Health and Behavioral Health partners, the following links and materials are available below.  We encourage parents, schools, and teenagers to become engaged in learning about the dangers of fentanyl and how lives can be saved.

Narcan can save a life! To obtain Narcan at no charge, please call, visit, or e-mail for this life-saving medication:

From 8:00- 1:30 pm every day the Santa Clara County Opioid Overdose Prevention Project offers Free Narcan* training and kits to anyone who would like one. In less than 10 minutes, you could be equipped with the knowledge and tools to help save an opioid overdose victim.
